I graduated from Lehigh University in 2007, where I did my honors dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Chaim Kaufmann. Following graduate work at the London School of Economics, I worked at UNICEF, Geneva and DPK Consulting/ USAID in the Democratic Republic of Congo in human rights. In 2011, I fulfilled a life-long dream and returned home to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where I covered human rights and had the pleasure of representing Trinidad and Tobago at the United Nations General Assembly. In 2014, I launched Conflict Women, Ltd to financially empower survivors of sexual and domestic violence and provide advice in human rights, gender, youth policy and conflict transformation.
